21 Months and Thanksgiving 2012

This week before the new year begins, I am catching up on events that have happened this year. November was such a fun month! The weather was just beautiful, so thankfully we still got to spend a lot of time outside, which is Hutson's favorite.

A day at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham with Garrett and Alicia.

He looks up to his big buddy so much!

They had a blast playing chase.

He was so happy, but giving me a funny smile.

Then we went to a car show.

Hutson got to "drive" the cars. He thought that was really cool.

"Cheese"

Thanksgiving

Since Phillip was on call in November, we decided to tackle Thanksgiving ourselves. My parents came in town too, and we had a great time cooking Thanksgiving dinner. (It's really not so hard, especially when your mom's there.)

Phillip is a natural carver.

They had to make sure it it tasted okay.

Bumpa and Hutson

Grammie and Hutson

This is how beautiful Thanksgiving day was.

On Friday we took Grammie and Bumpa to the park. I showed them my many skills.

Flashback to Halloween- Hutson 20 months

Hey Friends! The end of the year has caught be by surprise, and I realized I have slacked on my Hutson posts. So, before the new year ends, I'm going to catch you up on our lives these past months!

At 20 months Hutson has started talking and saying so many more words! He loves Elmo, and he also really started enjoying playing with trains. Sometime we will often go to Toys-R-Us just to play with their train sets. Here are some pictures of life in October!

Taking a walk at Aldridge Gardens. He just wanted to hold my hand and walk the whole time. I loved it!

Pointing to the "Geese"

And this is where is obsession with camera's begins. He kept going "Cheese"

Such a cutie pie!

Carving Pumpkins! I could hardly believe how much he was focused and actually got into it. He sat on the floor for over an hour helping Phillip and I. However, he did not want to touch the gooey pumpkin guts. (I don't blame him.)

Halloween

For Halloween Hutson was Tickle me Elmo. He had a voice box on one side that said, "Hahaha that tickles," when you press it. He loved that!

Trick-or-treating at the library. Best idea!

Hutson and Hansel the Hot dog!

Our neighbors who's son is 5 month's older than Hutson and was also Elmo. He loved Trick-or-Treating. He  really understood the concept as he loved ringing the doorbell, signing please, and picking out a candy and putting it in his Elmo basket.

Probably my favorite fall activity we did was go to Baker's Farm. We went on a Hayride and picked our own pumpkins off the vine. That was awesome!

The chosen ones

Hutson wouldn't touch the ground, or even let his shoes touch the ground. As I said, he doesn't like to get dirty.

Our pumpkins!

This was our ride on our covered wagon pulled by Mules. Hutson loved it!

But, his favorite was the hay maze,

 riding John Deer,

and chasing Mommy through the corn maze. After running around for 30 minutes, we weren't coming close to the end of the maze, so we went out the entrance.

Pointing to the pumpkin and saying "pumkee".

It was a great Halloween!

Hutson is 19 months!

My sweet little boy turned 19 months yesterday! His knowledge and ability truly amaze me! Everyday I feel more and more that he is a little person now, and not just my baby boy. Our computer crashed in mid-August (literally), so I missed Hutson's 18 month post. I am going to try and recap the last 2 months and all of its glory!

At 18 months, he still loves his bath time!

This was my first picture that allowed me to realize what a ham he truly is!

Oh, and I just get lost in those baby blues!

In August Gaga came to visit us! We took her to Oak Mountain park to relax at the beach.

Hutson really wanted to wear his newborn beach hat. Unfortunately, it was a little tight.

Gaga tried to put Hutson down in the sand without his shoes, but he wasn't having it at first.

So Dada put his shoes back on, and they went and played in the water.

Then, somebody started getting brave.

And that's how he fell in love with the beach!

Hutson especially loves sitting in Dada's lap

and swimming in the water.

He wouldn't smile in his picture with Gaga, because he was so sad that she was leaving.

But it was okay because Aunt Missy, Uncle Ned, and cousin Brady came to visit a couple days later. I wish I had a picture of Hutson's face when they showed up at the door. I had been telling him all day that Brady was coming, but I knew he didn't quite understand. Then, while Hutson was sitting on the ledge in the fridge (his favorite resting spot), the doorbell rang. I opened up the door, and Hutson caught a glimpse of Brady. He sprinted across the room and threw his arms around Brady. It was the best welcome anyone ever could have received.

Let's just say that there were a lot of those hugs over the next couple of days.

I mean, he couldn't be more excited!

I am convinced that 1/2 of my pictures of the two of them are in the bathtub. That's the only place they are both still enough to get a good one.

Like I said, lots of hugs!

These two really missed each other.

It just makes me excited to move back closer to them in 2 years.

However, I know these two cuties are going to be Trouble with a capital T.

Brady wanted a group hug picture.

Hutson month 19!

We love naked time!

And putting our heads in pictures

And of course cheering on the Dawgs!

Hutson pointed to this himself and stood for 3 minutes until Phillip took out the camera to take his picture. Ha! Such a ham!!

Loving on his new train table!
